Chamber music in a domestic setting was a common part of cultural life for both Schubert and Brahms. Hauskonzert recreates the feel of the 19th-century salon, complete with musical entertainment and a lightly catered sampling of hors-d’oeuvres and dessert. The program includes Brahms’ wonderful Violin Sonata in D Minor, as well as selections from the Hungarian Dances and Schubert lieder.

Brahms Three Hungarian Dances
