Collectively published as Clavier-Übung Vol. I in 1731, the Partitas present traditional Baroque dances and illustrate Bach's command of tonal architecture against galant ornamentation. This event is a rare opportunity to hear three complete Bach partitas in one recital. Performed by: Carsten Schmidt harpsichord Schmidt will perform using a double manual harpsichord modeled after a 1769 French design by Pascal Taskin.
